Personal Data Protection Act – 9 Obligations

Course Description

Personal data in Singapore is protected under the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA). The PDPA establishes a data protection law that comprises various rules governing the collection, use, disclosure and care of personal data.

This course is divided to 4 parts as follows:

Part 1 – Overview to PDPA

Part 2 – 9 Obligations under the PDPA

Part 3 – Role of Data Protection Officer (DPO)

Part 4 – Managing Data Breaches

This is Part 2 where the course will provide an overview of all the 9 obligations, including the DNC in how it applies at the workplace.
